Louisville, Kentucky (November 2015)

This year the National Youth Workers Convention was in Louisville, KY and I was fortunate enough to once again tag along.   One of the highlights for us was the chance to attend a pre-conference break out class taught by Doug and Kathy Fields which was packed with lots of great insight.  As usual, Paul really enjoyed the rest of the conference and I soaked up the peace and quiet of a hotel room with no dishes to wash or laundry to do.  We also had a few fun evenings out with good food and great company.  Great trip and special thanks for Grandpa and Grandma for taking care of our kids!

Brunch at Wild Eggs.  There are no words.

Packer Game (October 2015)

Although Paul and I both grew up on the east side of the state in "Packer country", our opportunities to attend an actual game has been few and far between.  I have been at Lambeau for various reasons but never to a real game.  Paul went once when he was in middle school.  Needless to say we were both pretty excited.  We had great seats, mild weather, a brat, cheese curds (of course), and a really good time.  It was a bonus that the Packer's pulled off a win.

Halloween Weekend (Oct. 2015)

As usual, Halloween was a lot of fun but this year was especially festive because it happened to fall on the weekend.  Ethan was a hunter and the girls insisted on being kitties.  The weather was pretty great so we headed out into our neighborhood for a while and then met up with some friends to do a little trick of treating in the UWEC dorms.  Halloween also included a birthday party at the Children's Museum and Paul and I even got to go out with friends for a little Halloween Eve fun.   Lots of candy and good times had by all.

Stillwater 10 Year Anniversary Trip (Oct. 2015)

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we went to Stillwater, MN and stayed at the Ann Bean Bed and Breakfast.  Everything about the trip was beautiful, perfect, and refreshing. Paul even surprised me with an anniversary ring that accompanies my wedding band.  It was a weekend to remember and a BIG shout out to Grandma Kathy who came and stayed with our kids while we were away.

Our room...yes, this will do.

What?!?

This is the "really Nicki, another pictures" smile.

Wine and Cheese- salted caramel.  Interesting.

What a guy!

Delicious breakfast served in room was a treat!

In case you wondering, our room had a mini freezer (thankfully)

I saw this sign and immediately wanted it.  Too bad it was hanging in a gross public bathroom!

Coffee Shop conversations

The Giant pretzel was undoubtedly one of the highlights for my husband.
