This year we decided to take a little mini road trip to see the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. The kids really enjoyed seeing it pull into the station covered in Christmas lights and the live concert from the boxcar was a fun experience as well!

Thanksgiving Weekend (November 2014)
This year for Thanksgiving we packed up the mini van and headed down to Grandpa and Grandma Young's. We learned that our kids are not big fans of the traditional Thanksgiving meal, minus the desserts of course, and had a fun time playing on a low ropes course in the Dells along with a bowling stop. We have so much to be thankful for.
Atlanta Conference Trip (November 2014)
This past month I had the opportunity to tag along with Paul to the National Youth Worker's Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. It was nothing short of an amazing extended weekend away complete with checking out some of what downtown had to offer. The kid's had a great time staying at Grandpa and Grandma Behnke's too so it was a win win for everyone.

Halloween (2014)
Halloween is becoming one of my favorite days of the year. It is so much fun and at this age we can eat a ton of the kid's trick or treat candy after they go to bed totally unnoticed. It's a win-win. This year we tried to kick off the holiday a few days early by attending a "Trunk or Treat" event in the area as did the rest of the city. Needless to say waiting in line for 2 hours was not our idea of fun so we ended up convincing our kids a frozen yogurt stop was a way better deal! The day of Halloween the twins started off the day with a party at school and then we bundled up in the evening and did a little trick or treating in our neighborhood. We topped off the night with friends at a Halloween Party and as previously mentioned above, a whole lot of candy!

Fall Family Guests (2014)
Our guest room has gotten some use this fall as we had Grandpa Warren and Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Lisa, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Josie, and a short visit with Uncle Aaron and Aunt Alissa. Fun times!
